High potential for entrepreneurship Permanence of workers in the sector (functional versatility) Ability to transfer to other sectors, innovation engine intersectoral Public presentation of the study conclusions In the Euroregion Galicia-Norte Portugal there are more than 7400 companies, giving employment to more than 60,000 workers The joint turnover of the two regions exceeds 2.3 billions of euros As one of the strategic areas of GNP-EGTC activity, we developed a study that consisted in mapping the creative industries in the Euroregion Galicia - Norte Portugal, aiming to demonstrate the potential of culture to generate growth and employment, taking into account the importance of investment in this sector to generate added value to the territory.

Conclusions: 11 Galicia – Norte Portugal European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation EGTC: Represent a quantum leap in cooperation and is a reflection of his future but needs support for consolidation Very useful tool for cooperation in times of crisis, generator synergies: context costes (highways, telecommunications, etc.). Financing EGTCs is also affected by the economic crisis: use of own resources and requiring the project partners; In times of crisis the EGTCs mobilize both public and private institutions Next period : Own projects or reimbursed by EGTCs should have positive discrimination (plus financing,% of funds, etc.). There should be greater convergence between the financing of projects of regional cross-border cooperation; Audits: The need for existence of homogeneous criteria and efficiency between institutions and countries.
