Homework should still be completed. Homework Schedule Math: Homework goes home daily and is completed and returned the next day. Please check to make sure your child understands the concept being taught. Please write me a note to let me know if your child needs extra help. Spelling: Every Monday, students take a spelling pretest and are assigned a spelling packet that is to be completed and returned on Friday. There is always a writing assignment in each packet that must be completed. Please check to make sure your child has completed the packet by Thursday evening. Students are tested on the spelling words each Friday. Reading Log: Students receive a reading log each week that must be initialed by you. Please make sure your child is reading at least fifteen minutes daily and writing a daily response on the log. The reading log is turned in on Friday with the spelling packet. Science and Social Studies : Assignments will be sent home with special instructions and due dates. Current Social Studies Assignment: Students are to memorize the continents and oceans and know how to draw a compass rose by Friday, September 11 th. We will be practicing and reviewing this skill daily. Please help your child study for the test and remember …spelling is important.
