AP Seminar Schedule 10/3 Reminders: Bring printed source to class all week ● laptops all week ● Bring two copies of body Paragraph for Tuesday ● “Home Front USA” and following sections on Wednesday ● Draft research question for individual paper, due next Monday Objective: to create a thesis from a research question Essential Question (EQ): How do we treat disease and diseased persons? NEW RESEARCH QUESTION: “What should the US Government have done to prevent the spread of Ebola into this country?” Read out: “Things we could do” class notes Collect new articles and discuss any new relevant information Read out topic sentences and group based upon content of topic sentence Each group produces a single topic sentence Bring topic sentences to the whole class to create a thesis statement HW: Draft a paragraph based upon your assigned topic sentence and bring TWO copies tomorrow
