Explaining Family Origins Grammar  When explaining your family’s origins, first you need to _list_the person(s) you are talking about. (i.e. your mom, dad, grandmother, grandfather, etc…)  Typically, start with your mom and dad. Then you can easily _trace_ back your family history using mom and dad as your _point_ of _reference____.

(Think predicate adjective and predicate nominative.)  Remember, when discussing other relatives related to that person, keep the nouns first and then the _adjectives____.
