Homework Questions Take 3 minutes and discuss answers with your group. Then we will discuss any issues as a class.

McDonalds most popular items are chicken nuggets, apple pies! Yum! The owner is trying to figure out how much money they made on sales of nuggets and pies. If they sold 100 nuggets and 35 pies, what expression can be used to represent their sales?

Oh No! 13 pies were returned for undercooked dough and 7 chicken nuggets were brought back for mold. McDonalds is forced to give a refund for their crappy food. Now what is the expression for the profit?

Sandra has 5 quarters, 18 nickels, and 22 dimes in her piggy bank. On her way to the market, she found 6 pennies on the ground, 2 quarters, 7 nickels, and 2 dimes. Write an expression to show how much money she has altogether!

Lyle has 2 beach towels he needs to return at Macy’s. While he is there, he sees beach towels that look real fancy. He buys 3 of them. As he is walking to the register, he notices a coffee pot that looks really sharp. Write an expression to show how much does he ends up spending.
