Please write the RULES for HYPHENS in the DWL Section of your binder. 1.Use a hyphen (-) to separate some closely related words. Ex) half-moon 2.Use a hyphen between fractions (written in words). Ex) three-fourths 3.Use a hyphen between two-digit words in numbers from 21 to 99 Ex) eighty-five 4.Use a hyphen when dividing a word of two or more syllables when they are at the end of a line of writing and there is no more space on that line. Ex) Jenny and Garth went on vacation early so they were ab- sent from school for two days..

Use yesterday’s notes.
