Current SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) Volumes in Condell ED In 2010 we had 52 Sexual Assault Cases Projection (with commitment from Lake County Child Advocacy) Projection We have a commitment from Lake County Child Advocacy Center to bring 2-3 pediatric pts here per week for exam (scheduled procedures). Most are insurance cases which will be eligible for Sexual Assault funding after Insurance paid. Law states no victim should be billed for this. We do have access to State Voucher system for all victims except Medicaid patients are not eligible (currently 50% of cases). Currently have 6 SANE nurses in ED SANE 3/11

Financials 2010 Net Revenue per Case $ 2010 Direct Cost per Case $ Opportunity exists to improve reimbursement with dedicated SANE nurses to ensure that Sexual Assault billing is done after insurance or for self pay cases.
