Athena goddess of wisdom She was the favorite child of Zeus Her mother was Metis goddess of wisdom and Zeus' first wife. She had sprung fully grown out of her father's head. Athena's power was that she could win every battle and war She had no weapons Skilled Hephatus ran to his father and split his skull open and from it emerged Athena, fully grown and wearing her mother's robe and helmet. She is the virgin mother of Erichthnonius.

Hera, Greek Goddess of Love and Marriage The goddess Hera ruled over the heavens and the earth, responsible for every aspect of existence, including the seasons and the weather. She was also worshipped as the Roman goddess Juno, and  the month of June is named in her honor. Hera was the wife and older sister of Zeus. Hera was known for her jealous and vengeful nature, most notably against Zeus's paramours and offspring, but also against mortals who crossed her, such as Pelias.
