Russia is a very large country. It contains about 85 regions. Leningrad region is situated in the northwest of the European part of the country.

The weather The weather is capricious there. Summer is cold and windy, and winter is warm and dirty. The first snow come out usually at the beginning of November and lies till April. If you plan a trip there, don’t forget about the weather and dress appropriately it.

The nature The region is situated on the swampy terrain. There are a lot of rivers and lakes. The moist part of the territory of the region is occupied by the forests and the woods. There are a lot of nature parks and reservations.

The people The people are very polite and cautious. They protect everything that’s connected with their favorite region. They also are very kind, honest and educated.

St. Petersburg is the main of the region The main city of Leningrad region is St. Petersburg. It’s considered that it’s one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The city is especially beautiful at night when it’s shined by many different lights.

The famous White Nights In the evening people go to the shores of the Neva river to admire the bridges. In summer you can see the famous White Nights there.
