FAMINE RELIEF - FOOD DISTRIBUTION  The Tarahumara had a disasterous harvest in the fall of 2011 as a result of the drought that afflicted the state of Chihuahua. Throughout 2012 we were able to distribute 40 tons of beans, corn and other foodstuffs to various communities in the Sierra Tarahumara.  We are thankful to both private and government sources in the United States and Mexico who provided funding for this life-saving effort.  We continue to work intensively with four indigenous communites promoting better agricultural practices with the goal of preventing crop failures in the future.
