During the war… Canada experienced economic gain and more freedom for women. Many people had suffered the losses of their husbands, fathers, friends, and relatives. People had all wished to turn back time and forget about the war. jillian
Cadets Many Children and adults were sent to cadets to be trained for the air force, navy and to be soldiers. They did not want to go but the government forced them to. kat
Blackouts Lights in coastal communities were blacked out because of war. Also it was because of the bombing in London. kel
Not enough Food or Clothing… There was not enough food in Canada during World War 2 because all of the food was being sent out to the soldiers in the war, overseas. Women had to make woolen clothing for the men at war because the war was going on and they could not get enough supplies. amy
Factories Women worked in factories instead of men because most of the men were at war. They also had to ration food and clothing because they had to ship supplies to the men and women in the war. jill
Government The government was involved in many new issues such as evacuation, home defense and responses to occupation by enemy powers. kat
It made the economy stronger knowing that we helped stop the war ☺ kel
