Delivery  Up to 30 minutes teaching  At least 30 minutes response Personal reflection Discussion in clusters

Module 1 – Purpose  By completing this module, you should be able to identify the five different development processes from Scripture as well as be doing something about putting these processes in place in your life. In particular, 1. You have ongoing revelation 2. You have ongoing teaching 3. You have coaches who feedback to you 4. You have mentors who are developing you 5. Your abilities are growing by what you do

Module 1 – Development Processes  2 Timothy 2:2 (NKJV) “And the things (revelation) that you have heard from me among many witnesses (teaching), commit these (mentoring) to faithful men who will be able to teach (coaching) others also” (doing)  Revelation  Teaching  Mentoring  Coaching  Doing

2 Timothy 2:2 development track Ask them to do something Creativity and unpredictability Coach them Don’t mould them into your image. Coaching gives them the most important information Get them to coach another person Best done by someone only a little ahead Mentor them It is about more than tasks (motivations, character etc) Teach them Prepares them for an increasing range of situations Get them to mentor others They are now experienced enough to do this Help them to receive revelation for others They now know enough to discern it Help them to become teachers With revelation, understanding and experience with others

1. Development by revelation  “How are we positioning ourselves to receive revelation as well as other spiritually driven transformational experiences?”  “What can I do to help those I lead receive ongoing revelation/ experience transformational experiences?

2. Development by teaching  “What teaching is helping me/us to develop?”  “What teachings or resources should I recommend to those I am leading?”

Module 1 – Recommended Resources

Module 1 – Stairway Resources

3. Development by mentoring  “Who and how am I mentoring”  “Who and how am I being mentored and in what matters is that mentoring occurring?”

4. Development by coaching  “Who, how and in what am I coaching people?”  “Who is coaching me in what and how am I being coached?”

5. Development by doing  “What things are we doing that help us to develop?”  “What am I asking others to do that are helping to develop them?”
