Unemployed people have lots to offer It’s easy to overlook unemployed people But they are individuals with skills and talents that could benefit your business. Department for Work and Pensions 10Working with employers

Young people bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm We can help you to recruit young people by: Providing financial help Improving skills and experience Linking you with the National Apprenticeship Service. Department for Work and Pensions 11Working with employers

Older workers bring skills and experience Employing a diverse range of ages brings advantages: Reducing your skills gaps and staff turnover Mentoring and developing new recruits and apprentices Older workers can contribute to a productive and committed workforce. Employer Quote – T Shea Ltd (waste management company): “There are lots of misconceptions around employing older workers in a physical industry. We find that older workers absorb training quickly as they can employ their life experience and common sense to theory.” Department for Work and Pensions 12Working with employers
