The overall goal of the NTDSC is to improve the oral health of American Indian people in the Pacific Northwest.

Collaboration with the 34 IHS/Tribal dental programs in the Portland Area to address the broad challenges and opportunities associated with these dental programs.

Dental Access for Young Children: A Missed Opportunity 100 children X 4 visits = 400 visits 400 visits X $300 = $120,000 We are missing opportunities to increase revenue AND prevent ECC We need the support of the tribes, CEOs, and SU administration to prevent ECC

NTDSC Highlights Provide 6-8 clinical and prevention site visits Provide dental staff with CDE credits Completed Oral Health Surveys on 1-5 year olds last year and 6-8 year olds this year. Ongoing communication with 34 programs.

NTDSC Highlights: Grants NTDSC marketed and provided technical assistance to Portland Area dental programs for various funding opportunities. 8/39 Portland Area dental programs received free supplies and CDE as participants in the national ECC Virtual Learning Community. 3/15 Portland Area dental programs received national HP/DP awards.
