Appearance A polar bear has a thick coat of cream or white fur. Their heads are longer than most bears. They have some yellowish, white, sharp teeth.

Babies Polar bear babies are called cubs. Cubs get on their mom’s back when they are scared. Some baby polar bears weigh almost as much as a baby cat.

Habitat Some polar bears’ habitat is in the North Pole. Its covered in ice and cold water. Polar bears could live in Alaska, Canada ,Greenland, Norway, and Russia.

Movement Polar bears usually walk when not hunting. Sometimes if a stranger of a polar bear gets their baby a polar bear will run. Some times if a polar bears prey runs away it will also run.

What They Eat Polar bears often eat 50 pound seals. Polar bears will sometimes eat a tiny lemming. If a polar bear can’t find a tasty seal they will hunt for other animals.

Interesting Facts Adult polar bears don’t live with any other polar bears. Some polar bears can live up to 30 years. Polar bears are known as King of the North.
