Ana Rueda Vertebrates WebQuest

Ana Rueda Introduction The Nature Magazine is preparing an edition of their magazines for kids. They think our class can help them with their article on the vertebrate animals. Remember that animals are divided into two big groups: invertebrates and vertebrates. Animals that have backbones are called vertebrates. There are five different groups of vertebrates: mammals, fish, birds, amphibians and reptiles.

Ana Rueda Task Your task will consist on looking for all the possible information useful about your group's animal type. After collecting the information you will need to create the magazine's article with the information and some pictures.

Ana Rueda Process (1) Step 1: Choose a Vertebrate type –You will be divided into groups of 5 people. You will only do the research on one type. The one you choose. Step 2: Organise yourself in the group –Decide how your group will organise the work. Decide which vertebrate classification are you going to do the research on. Each member or the group must have a different type so the 5 differents types will covered.

Ana Rueda Process (2) Step 3: Do the research –You need to complete this data collection sheet looking for the information on the internet webpages. Go to Resourcesdata collection sheet Resources Step 4: Write your animal description –Individually. Follow these guidelines.guidelines Step 5: Write the Article –Together with your group write the article for the magazine. Follow these guidelinesguidelines
