Ak-47 Nathan -Ak stands for: Avtomat Kalashnikova or automatic Kalashnikov -Russian made and supplied assault rifle for the NVA and Vietcong forces. -Has a very distinct sound when fired making it easy to tell who was firing.

MiG-21 “Fishbed” by Connor -Supersonic jet fighter the North Vietnamese Air Force used -Bought from the Soviet Union -A match for our best fighter, the F-4 Phantom -Ground troops did not have to worry about it

BicyclesNathan -Used by north vietnamese for transportation of men and materials. -Common on Ho Chi Minh trail. -Would reinforce the frame to carry heavier loads.

NVA Uniforms -The original NVA uniforms were tan khaki. -The shirts had two pleated pockets, closed with a pointed flap. -The pants had two side and one rear pocket, and adjusted with buttons at the waist. -This uniform was worn by the original NVA troops who entered SVN. LC

VC UniformsBL -Viet Cong did not have marked uniforms -typical VC soldier would be wearing a hat, rubber sandals, and fatigues

Ao-dai, N ướ c ch ấ m, Sampan -Ao-Dai is a traditional Vietnamese dress worn by women. Its a cultural symbol of beauty and is made of form fitting silk. -N ướ c ch ấ m is a traditional Vietnamese dipping sauce that accents raw meals. -Sampan’s are small flat bottom boats of which can be used as permanent habitation on water.
