Branding/Logo 1.Complete the survey on the next slide –record in your Sketchbook 2.Research graphics/icons for your logo/brand 3.Draw 30 thumbnail sketch ideas for graphics for your logo/brand design.

Branding/Logo Survey 1. What type of company do I want to run? (Clothing, food, sports, tech, etc) 2. What is the feel of my company? (Fun, loud, cutting edge, haute couture, homey, kid friendly, etc) 3. Who is my target audience for my product? 4. What am I selling? 5. What is the name? 6. What do I NOT want in a logo design? (Lots of color, only one color, too simple, too complex, goofy looking, too formal, etc)

LOGO 1.You are creating three other pieces in addition to your logo for your branding set: Be sure to save your design in the orientation intended Business Card: Bleed 3.46in x 2.32in (inside 3.14in x 2.02) 300 ppi Letterhead: bleed 8.66in x 11.16in (inside 8.34in x 10.84in) 300 ppi Create banners for design in Ps or Ai Create layout in InDesign App Icon: 120px x 120px 72 ppi

Business Card- Layout 1.Draw your business card layouts in your sketchbook 2.You will need 2 design files: a front and back design 3.Include your logo 4.Determine what type of information you want to include. For example: Name Expertise Phone LinkedIn Website YouTube Channel Vimeo Blog etc.

BUSINESS CARD Save as: businessCard_front_lastName.psd businessCard_back_lastName.psd businessCard_front_lastName.jpg businessCard_back_lastName.jpg Save ALL to your branding folder

Letterhead 1.Design a banner for your letterhead in Ps or Ai 2.The Letterhead will be created using InDesign: –8.5” x 11” paper 3.Do some research on letterhead design: –Your letterhead should follow suit with your logo, color scheme and business card design –Start HEREHERE

App Icon 1.The App icon will be created using Ps or Ai: –120 px x 120 px, 72 ppi 2.Do some research on app icon design: Your app icon will be the simplest version of your logo Stick to your color scheme

Branding/Logo Design Create a layout of all of your branding items. Arrange them in an aesthetically pleasing composition. (start with a Ps doc at least 22” x 18” 300ppi) Save it as branding_LastName.jpg
