Review of previous 16L-34R Overlay Removal of in-pavement light fixtures, extensions, and base cans which extended into milling depth zone Reinstallation of light cans removed full depth Milling of runway surface Installed Paving Fabric Overlay runway Install light can extensions and fixtures Repaint runway

Phasing Requirements Runway paint must be removed or blacked out prior to construction beginning Lighted X’s are required on either end of the runway while it is closed Crossings at taxiway H10 to S and taxiway H5 to Q can not be closed simultaneously Certified flaggers and barricades are required at every taxiway crossing

Runway 16L-34R Overlay Stopped overlay 10’ short of most in-pavement Hold Bars on Taxiway H. Tied asphalt overlay into existing grade Most in pavement lights at stop bars were not disturbed

RFQ Overview Section 4 – Scope of Work The consultant will integrate into the Runway Overlay Project, a separate design developed by SLCDA for the asphalt overlay of the taxiway connectors along runway 16L/34R. The consultant shall provide all coordination, evaluation, phasing, staging and review necessary to seamlessly incorporate this design into the Runway 16L/34R Overlay.

RFQ Overview Section 4 – Scope of Work The consultant shall provide a technical analysis of the runway overlay which will provide design, specification, construction and maintenance to increase the longevity of the overlay for years or longer.

RFQ Overview Section 4 – Scope of Work The analysis and recommendation shall address pavement design, specification modifications, construction processes, materials (aggregates, gradation, stability, voids, wear, etc.), joints (both longitudinal and transverse), grooves, non- destructive testing, if necessary, and recommended surface treatments and maintenance strategies, that can be applied to increase the life of the pavement, while still maintaining the required FAA friction standards for the runway.

RFQ Overview Section 4 – Scope of Work The consultant shall coordinate with SLCDA’s on-call Airfield Electrical Consultant for airfield lighting design and incorporate the design drawings for airfield lighting prepared by the airfield electrical consultant into the Project plans.

Taxiway H Connecting Taxiways Overlay Design Incorporate design into R/W Overlay Package Removal of in-pavement light fixtures, extensions, and base cans which extended into milling depth zone Reinstallation of light cans removed full depth Milling of Taxiway surface Overlay Taxiway Install light can extensions and fixtures Repaint Taxiway Most in pavement lights at stop bars will be impacted
