MISSION Sixth Framework Programme Specific Support Action EC-INCO-CT Metrology and testing methods to determine the properties of multifunctional materials under different operation conditions are essential engineering tools in materials development. New materials should be produced and certified in accordance with internationally accepted guidelines, e.g. from the International Standards Organisation (ISO). Training and capacity building of young researchers through PhD thesis, postdoctoral study, exchange of long and short herm visiting scientists. The fields are chemical analysis, metrology in chemistry, certification of materials, all of them in conformity with CEN and ISO standards.
