Today we will interpret percent as a part of a hundred. interpret – figure out; understand percent – per one hundred (100) Concept

When you take a test your score is shown as a percent When you take a test your score is shown as a percent. For example, lets say you take a math test that has 100 questions on it. If you score 70 correct, your percentage would be 70 %. APK

10 20 out of 100 = 20% or 10 CD

10 40 out of 100 = 40% Or 10 CD

10 50 out of 100 = 50% or 10 CD

10 out of 100 units are shaded blue. = 10 % CD

30 out of 100 units are shaded blue. = 30 % CD

80 out of 100 units are shaded blue. 90 100 = 90 % CD

Why is understanding percent important? You will know the relationship between any number and 100 as a percent. You will know how a percent translates into fractions. What are other reasons why it is important to know how to understand IMP
