Port of Constanta - A World Class Maritime Port Largest and deepest port in the Black Sea The Port of Constanta has a major importance in the Black Sea area, being located at the crossroads of the trade routes linking the markets of the landlocked countries from Central and Eastern Europe with the Transcaucasus, Central Asia and the Far East.

Constanta as River Port Port of Constanta has a important role in the development of inland transport, due to its connection to the Black Sea – Danube Canal The 64.4 km long and 90 m wide canal has a water depth of 7 m and 17,5 m clearance under the bridges The river traffic registered in Constanta Port in 2008 was more than 11 million tons, especially coal, ore, cereals and steel products. In 2009 the river traffic was 7,9 million tons.

20 The Port of Constanta offers a 3,400 km shorter transport alternative for the cargo coming from: Middle and Far East, India, East Africa and Australia through the Suez Canal and having as destination the Central European countries. Why Constanta?
