Objectives To learn that things that happen to us in our lives like death, divorce, separation and new family members can affect our emotions. to be able to recognise the stages of emotions associated with loss and change caused by death, divorce, separation and new family members to learn to deal positively with the strength of their feelings in different situations. To encourage discussion on these topics

Discuss In your groups, discuss a scenario involving loss that you have dealt with – How did you feel? Write down emotions that you think are associated with loss

Scenario’s Each group has a scenario Discuss in your groups how you think the person is feeling and produce a mindmap in your books. Then you should come up with ‘changes’ that can be made to help the person deal with the situation.
