Timeline for CTE Grants: – Funds are currently accruing – July 2015: Rules to govern the grants must be developed – Funds may be available in early 2015 Governor’s office conducting listening sessions with CTE programs & school administrators Senate Bill 235 (SB235)

Courses for Perkins data in will be pulled from program applications Any changes must be reflected on application Edits to Program Applications

To ensure accuracy: Step 1: Contact local PRF staff (check DOE School Directory) DOE School Directory Step 2: Ensure CTE courses entered on PRF correctly Course codes/names from Perkins application Step 3: Check accuracy on Teacher 411 prior to October 15 thTeacher 411 Personnel Records Form

Critical to ensure students’ approved CTE courses qualify for SD Opportunity Scholarship CTE Courses on Transcripts

Step 1: Work with Infinite Campus contact (check DOE School Directory) to get course names entered accuratelySchool Directory Step 2: Ensure “CTE” is incorporated into the course name for approved CTE courses only (Foundation, Cluster, Pathway – not Personal Finance) CTE Courses on Transcripts

Keep records locally of all Perkins- purchased equipment/materials Denote Perkins-funded versus other funding sources in inventory Tag items that are Perkins-purchased Consortium Members: Ensure Director has accurate inventory of Perkins-purchased equipment Perkins Inventory

Liquidating Perkins equipment/ materials: – Step 1: See if another CTE program can make use of item locally. – Step 2: If item is usable, contact CTE Specialist. If item is unusable, surplus it following local school policy. – Step 3: Tell consortium when items are transferred/released/surplussed – Step 4: Update local district Perkins inventory Perkins Inventory
