Progress since April 2009 Improved strategy and policy framework Completion of the strategic framework (12 sectoral and 14 crosscutting strategies adopted by GoA, all overarched under the NSDI ). NSDI Monitoring 2008 NSDI Progress Report 2009 Ministry Integrated Plans (MIP) produced by line ministries Highlight the key Medium-Term Budget Programme (MTBP) commitments, EU integration commitments, public investment and external assistance Establishment of a comprehensive monitoring system for sector Strategies. First piloted during the first half of 2009 for social inclusion and social protection strategies. 3

Strengthen coordination through Sector Working Groups (SWGs) SGWs to play an active role in policy co-ordination and in monitoring of sector strategies, MTBP and external assistance.
