Summary of Changes New ARC Objectives 2015-2018 Equipment Time Ranking * Faculty Time Ranking * Classified Time Ranking * Soon to come

Outcomes vs. Resources Outcome (formerly known as objective) Identification and evaluation of the results of an activity, plan, process, or program and their comparison with the intended or projected results or output measures Resource An economic or productive factor required to accomplish an outcome OR a means to undertake an enterprise and achieve a desired outcome. Four basic resources are space, staff, equipment, and funding. source: http://www.businessdictionary.com/definition/resource.html#ixzz2JaQYaWqb

Difference between an outcome and a resource Specific Relevant Measurable Reasonable Can be assessed through quantitative and/or qualitative processes Resource Equipment Maintenance Types of Space Training Software Staffing Supplies

Best Practices Review previous outcomes for specificity, relevancy, reliability, measurability, and reasonability Consider how these outcomes support your program review and student learning outcomes assessment: what do the data tell you? Consider what your department’s resource needs are in terms of the 3 categories: ongoing department needs, next fiscal year, long term planning Plan your process for dialogue – input and feedback

Special Attention: Remember ~ Outcomes cannot be marked “completed” or “no longer applicable” if resources continue to be requested for that outcome.

The Starting Line https://emp.arc.losrios.edu/ Evaluate and update the current outcomes and resources in your EMP Reminder: VTEA/Perkins outcomes are not a separate category of outcomes
