Sustainability as a Business Case, Vedrana Miljak, econsense, 15th October 2010, Brussels Sustainability along the Supply Chain The customer as well as the public expect sustainability along the whole supply chain The proof of sustainability however can lead to a lot of red tape Different standards have to be fulfilled (ILO, GRI, Global Compact etc.) The ultimate aim should be to decrease the amount of red tape in the future. Industry is already working on solutions. In order to be effective these instruments have to come from the industry itself (bottom up approach).
