An EMP can: 1.possibly prevent a disaster by decreasing risk 2.increase personal safety 3.decrease the impact of a disaster 4.decrease the effects on the commodity 5.decrease the effects on the agricultural community 6.decrease the effects on the public

Farm Safety and the ADF EMP EMP based on 4 pillars of emergency management: 1.Prevention having an emergency plan animal biosecurity for disease prevention 2.Preparedness producers understanding their role in an emergency risk assessments

Farm Safety and the ADF EMP 3. Response actions to end the emergency with minimum loss or damage must be carefully planned out in advance 4. Recovery actions taken are to restore the situation to normal must consider effects on individuals and community
