Summary The Hunger Games is about a girl named Katniss. There is a country called Panem. There were 13 districts, # 13 rebelled sparking the hunger games. The Hunger Games are when 1 boy and girl from each district fight to the death. When Katniss’ sister Prim is picked, Katniss volunteers to go in her place. She and a boy named Peeta go to the Capitol for the games. They each train and have interviews. In Peeta’s interview, he reveals that he is in love with Katniss. There mentor tells them to act like there both in love to gain sponsors. They are enemies till it is announced there are partners so Katniss and Peeta team up. When there are only two left, they call of the partner deal. But then Katniss and Peeta say that they will both eat suicide berries so the Capitol announces they both win.

Recommendation I recommend this book because it is full of action. A great book where every part was my favorite.

My Favorite Part My favorite part of the book was when there was the final battle after Cornucopia. The genetically engineered dogs were really cool.

Who I Relate To… I connect with Katniss. We both have done things we don’t want to do.
