What isTAACCCT? A U.S. Department of Labor grant that is being used to expand capacity of community colleges to meet needs of local employers Working with the local Montgomery County CareerLink and Workforce Investment Board Montgomery County Community College is part of a consortium of 14 Pennsylvania community colleges

Health Technology Specialist The Health Technology Specialist program: Is a full-time day or part-time evening program for individuals who have at least one year of information technology experience. offers a blend of healthcare-related training and IT skills while preparing students to take the exams for recognized IT industry certifications. Will include topics such as medical terminology, networking, server administration and project management.

Health Technology Specialist A practicum is included to provide hands- on practice and skill development. Upon successful completion, students will receive a certificate from MCCC and will be eligible to sit for various industry certifications. Students will be provided the support of a Career Coach which includes job placement assistance.

Eligibility Requirements In order to be eligible for the program, you must: have an Associate Degree and/or completion of technical courses with at least 1 year of relevant IT experience Obtain a certain reading & math level complete prerequisite on-line healthcare training modules be looking for retraining or skill enhancement have commitment to attendance policies and program requirements

Financial Aid Possibilities College Financial Aid application WIA-based funding such as TAA or Individual Training Accounts (ITA) through PA CareerLink Veterans Training Benefits Other sources including self-funding
