Student Leadership Conference September 28, 2013

Objectives  To consider one person’s observations on leadership.  To reflect on qualities that make a good leader.  To recognize that “leadership” comes in different forms.

Background  TOY  HPE Teacher  K-6 HPE Coordinator  K-12 Department Chair  Lead Teacher  Assistant to the Headmaster  Coach  Chair of Planning Commission  Wrestling Official  President of several organizations

A Few General Observations  Just because you are in a leadership position doesn’t necessarily mean you are a leader.  You don’t have to be THE leader to be a leader.  A leader has an overall vision, sees the big picture, and is the catalyst to move toward that vision.

Here are a few important qualities for a Leader to possess ……………… A good leader provides opportunities for those around him/her to become leaders.

Now YOU have the opportunity to become a leader in this activity! Move It, Move It!
