DPMP “What’s New”

DPMP to begin Beta Test phase. The Parts Standardization & Management Committee (PSMC) will meet on April 28 – May 1, 2008 at LMI in Tyson’s Corner, Virginia. This meeting will mark the start of Beta Test for the DPMP. Each PSMC member organization will develop it’s organizational “Bridge Page” within the portal. When most PSMC member organizations have completed bridge page development the DPMP will go public. Organizations wishing to participate in the Beta Test phase should contact DSPO regarding PSMC membership.

“About the DPMP”

Authorization and control of a bridge page. Organizations that control a bridge page shall have a GIDEP account. GIDEP accounts may be of two types: access to all of GIDEP or access to bridge page only. Organizations must pass GIDEP acceptance criteria before being granted a GIDEP account. Organizations that are debarred from doing business with the U.S. Government shall not be admitted to DPMP membership

“Search the DPMP”

The DPMP Search capability will enable the user to search for key words or phrases found on “Organizational Bridge Pages” or elsewhere within the DPMP

“Feedback”

“Feedback” Feedback will enable the user to compose and send a message to the DPMP Administrator at GIDEP. Feedback may address problems, suggest improvements, request a bridge page, or convey any appropriate message to the DPMP team.

Business Rules Bridge Page Content  All content shall be relevant to the parts community  All content shall be appropriate for a public access website  All content shall be legitimate and legal (not counterfeit, not deceptive, not fraudulent)  All content accessed from a bridge page shall be to a source destination outside the portal.  All content shall comply with copyright law  Bridge page content shall not violate proprietary rights of other organizations  Bridge page content shall not contain negative references or statements about competitors or other DPMP member organizations Code of Conduct  Bridge pages shall not be used for any illegal purpose (link to porn, etc.)  Bridge pages shall not be used for any harmful purpose (virus, etc)  Bridge pages shall be managed only by authorized administrators  Bridge page owners shall have a process to validate and maintain page accuracy Compliance  Understand and comply with ITAR requirements  Understand and comply with Government laws and web rules and regulations  Understand and comply with DoD web rules and regulations (e.g., Section 508 compliance).  Understand and comply with GIDEP rules

DSCC “Template Bridge Page” DSCC will take control of this template bridge page during the Beta Test phase and will replace this template page with a customized bridge page specifically targeted on the parts management community. The customized bridge page will provide links to tools and other destinations the DSCC wishes to make available or showcase. The “template bridge page” will generally link to one or more destinations. On this page, clicking on the words “Defense Supply Center Columbus” will take the user to the DSCC Home Page.

Menu of Organizations This menu currently contains only one organization (LMI). When mature, this menu will contain all participating Defense Support Contractors and Service Providers. Selecting an organization from this menu will take the user to the “Bridge Page” for the selected organization. The LMI bridge page, reached by selecting “LMI Government Consulting” from this menu, is no longer a “Template” page. The LMI page has already been customized for the DPMP – Parts Management Community.

Menu of Services This menu currently contains only one organization (MFG.com). When mature, this menu will contain all participating Service Providers. Selecting an organization from this menu will take the user to the “Bridge Page” for the selected organization. The MFG.com bridge page is no longer a “Template” page but has been customized for the DPMP.

Menu of Tools This menu will contain various types of tools. Under “Part Selection Tools” the user will find all available part selection tools made available from participating organizations. One such tool is Pin Point.
