TOWN VERSUS COUNTRY INTRODUCTION - Depending on surroundings, the type of life can be different. –Life in the country is one thing and life in the town is another. With this work I pretend to show the differences between living in the countryside or living in the town, and all what´s related with.

TOWN / COUNTRY SIMILARITIES In my opinion, they are no similarities between life in the city and life in the country, they are very different.

MAIN TYPE OF BULDING LIVING IN THE COUNTRYSIDELIVING IN A TOWN A)A cottage is a small, typical house with one floor and a small garden, very caracteristic of the countryside. B) A detached house is a house with no joints in each side, with one or two floors, may be with one attic and a garden. A)A terraced house is a row of houses that are joined together. B) A skyscraper is a very tall and modern city bulding. C) A semi-detached house is a house joined to another by one side. D) A block of flats is more than one flat. A flat is a set of rooms for living, including a kitchen.

OPEN SPACE FOR CHILDREN TO PLAY LIVING IN THE COUNTRYSIDELIVING IN A TOWN A)They are constantly in contact with nature. B) They can see the sunsets, experience the seasonal changes, the smell of leaves and floors. C) They have all the space for running and play with other children around the houses. A)The open spaces in the city are a substitute for the greenspaces of the countryside. B) Open places in the city are mainly parts for children playing football, educational games and gardens. C) We can consider open spaces the urban green areas in general.

AMENITIES LIVING IN THE COUNTRYSIDELIVING IN A TOWN In the countryside the amenities aren´t many because they don´t have many places where they can relaxe or things that make their life easier. For example, in the countryside ther aren´t many means of transport just cars and bus. For buying something they have to go the city. Probably they only have a supermarket. So, the countryside is very poor in facilities. In the city they have lots of amenities, they have good facilities, lots of places for amusing themselves like theatres, museums, libraries, shops, cinemas and sport facilities. We can go easly to somewhere because there are different means of transports like taxis, buses, undergrounds and others. In the city we can find all we need, like the police stations, job centres and banks.

ENVIRONMENT LIVING IN THE COUNTRYSIDELIVING IN A TOWN Here, we can relaxe from the stress of the city. We have fresh air, a calm and peaceful scenery. We can forget about the confusion of living in the city because in countryside, we haven´t noise, queues, traffic jams. To rest there isn’t a better place than countryside. It´s very stressful living in the city because it is a synonym of busy, traffic jams, pollution, crowds and queues. In city the probablity of crime is higherr because there are too many people.

TOWN VERSUS COUNTRY CONCLUSION In country we can constantly be in contact with nature, it´s calmer, quieter and if someone wants to rest it´s the best place to go. There are many differences between living in the country or living in the town.

TOWN VERSUS COUNTRY CONCLUSION In my opinion, the ideal is having two houses, one in the country and another in the town. To rest the best is the country, to work the town. In town, we have all facilities, places to go amuse ourselves like shops, theatres and all we need we can find in town.
