Strategic Plan Raising Student Achievement Academic Excellence and Equity Community Relations Educational Technology Use of Data To Improve Instruction
Academic Excellence and Equity Ensure that technology is an integral component of curriculum and instruction Audit effectiveness of current programs Develop individual school improvement plans and hold quarterly meetings to monitor effectiveness of plans Annually increase each measure of academic performance Develop a system of longitudinal data collection Ensure staff engagement in professional development that reflects system priorities Provide parent workshops
Using Data to Improve Instruction Create a district data study group to compile and analyze longitudinal data Enhance the work of building-based data teams Strengthen the communication of data reviewed and analyzed at the building and district level through meetings, website, and digital newsletter Share patterns of data through parent education
Educational Technology Establish a one-to-one technology environment K-12 by 2017 Schedule multiple site visits each year to districts in order to investigate best practices in a one-to-one deployment Support ongoing technology-related professional development Establish technology-related parent workshops
Community Relations Create a Parent University Establish a Seniorversity Initiate Family Math Night, Family Science Night and a Curriculum Fair to bring families together to celebrate learning Establish a committee to expand the use of social media Provide childcare at evening events Distribute all correspondence in English and Spanish

Strategic Planning Council Additional Recommendations: The Strategic Planning Council should meet at least twice each year to monitor the progress of the action plans. An annual report should be made to the Board of Education and community on the progress toward achieving goals set in the plan. A 4 th Strategic Planning Council should be assembled during the school year to develop a subsequent plan for
