Technology Implementation Plan Our Community Christian School

Mission Our Community Christian School is committed to providing an environment in which students are immersed in Christian values throughout the educational experience. The policies and procedures of Our Community Christian School will be consistent with the standards of the Bible while providing support for students through content, effective technology implementation, and relationships with students and families as students are encouraged to take full advantage of their individual potentials to fulfill the roles God has planned for each of them. Vision The vision of Our Community Christian School is to partner with parents to prepare students to become productive Christian citizens of the contemporary world. OCCS is committed to using technology as an integral part of that preparation as an aide in providing an education program that works with parents, provides an academically excellent curriculum, recognizes the uniqueness of each student, and provides the skills necessary for current and future societal needs. School Administration Goals: 1. Provide an information management system that provides administrators, teachers, and parents with appropriate information to support students in a format that is easily accessible. 2.The school will provide hardware, software, and internet access for supporting technological goals. 3.Provide technology that supports secure and safe learning environments. 4.The school will make available technology support and professional development providing teachers with the tools for use in preparing and implementing an effective and appropriate learning environment.

Our Community Christian School Teacher Technology Goals: 1.Develop personal technology skills and literacy in order to assist parents and students in the development of skills necessary for decision making in the current technological environment. 2.Integrate current and emerging technologies in the classroom to provide students curriculum and instruction that supports engaging, enriching, and diverse learning experiences. 3.Develop strategies that enlighten the whole child providing opportunities for students to safely connect with each other and others in the world using current and emerging technologies.
