60 minutes of Physical Activity a day is what we need to maintain or gain a healthy lifestyle!

60 minutes a day of physical activity does not mean you have to run for 60 minutes straight. You can split the time up during the day and the activity that you do does not have to be as vigorous as running but some type of physical activity for 60 minutes a day is vital.

Playing with friends outside. Walking to a friends house instead of getting a ride. Take pet for a walk. Participate in a recreational sport or event. Go swimming in a pool, lake or ocean with the proper supervision.

Gardening in yard. Walking around the block. Walking pet. Swimming and biking at a slow pace.

Physical Activity is something that you cannot just jump right into. You have to ease your body into it especially if your body is not used to being Physically active.

Walk shorter distances and slowly increase. Jog for a short time and walk when not jogging. Do activities around the house such as gardening or raking leaves.
