CA South-African Member – Login Instructions STEP 01 – Log into the CPD System 1. Navigate to the following URL a. Enter Username into the “Username” textbox b. Enter your Password into the “Password” textbox c. Click on the “Login” button STEP 02 – Logout of the CPD System 1. Navigate to the “Logout” link in the left hand navigation area a. Click on the “Logout” link b. After logging out you will be routed to a page informing you that you have logged out successfully Content Page Content Page Content Page Content Page

CA South-African Member – Log CPD Hours STEP 01 – Logging SAICA Activities 1. Navigate the CPD hour logging page by mousing over the “CPD Hours” link on the left hand side of the screen a. Click on the “Log CPD Hours” menu item b. Select SAICA Activity from the “Type of Activity” drop down box (at the top of the screen) c. Enter Date that the activity took place in the “Date Activity was Completed” field d. Select the appropriate Activity Title from the “Title of Activity” drop down box e. Selected the appropriate Activity Description from the “Description of Activity” drop down box f. If there are any related information that needs to be specified for the SAICA Activity being logged, this can be entered into the “Activity Notes” field. g. In the “Provider” field SAICA will already be entered, as the activities that are being logged are all SAICA Activities. h. In the “Activity Duration (Hrs)” field a duration could already be entered but can be changed i. For all SAICA Activities the “Verifiable” tick box will automatically be ticked when “SAICA Activity” is selected from the “Type of Activity” drop down box. j. Click on the “Save” button to save the information that has just been entered. k. CA South African Member – Log CPD Hours STEP 02 - Logging Non-SAICA Activities 1. Navigate the CPD hour logging page by mousing over the “CPD Hours” link on the left hand side of the screen a. Click on the “Log CPD Hours” menu item b. Select “Non-SAICA Activity” from the “Type of Activity” drop down box (at the top of the screen) c. Enter the appropriate Date in the “Date Activity was Completed” field by selecting the date from the date picker by clicking on the calendar d. Select the appropriate Activity Title from the “Title of Activity” drop down box If the title of the activity is not displayed in the “Title of Activity” drop down list, the “Other” title must be selected from the “Title of Activity” drop down list. Enter the Title of the activity into the field below the “Title of Activity” drop down box e. Selected the appropriate Activity Description from the “Description of Activity” drop down box If the description of the activity is not displayed in the “Description of Activity” dropdown list, the “Other” description must be selected from the “Description of Activity” dropdown list. Enter the description of the activity into the field below the “Description of Activity” drop down list. f. Select the appropriate Provider from the “Provider” dropdown box g. If there are any related information that needs to be specified for the Non-SAICA Activity being logged, this can be entered into the “Activity Notes” field. h. Enter the Duration of the Activity into the “Activity Duration (Hrs)” field i. Indicate whether the Activity being logged is Verifiable or Non-Verifiable by either ticking the Verifiable tick box or leaving it un-ticked for non- Verifiable Activities. j. Click on the “Save” button to save the information that has just been entered. k. CA South African Member – View CPD Hours STEP 01 – View Logged CPD Hours 1. Navigate the CPD hour viewing page by mousing over the “CPD Hours” link on the left hand side of the screen a. Click on the “View CPD Hour Logs” menu item b. From the dropdown box under the Status indication i. Select “Verifiable” option The table below the drop down box will be populated with all the member’s (that is logged in) Verifiable CPD hours that have been logged ii. Select “Non Verifiable” option The table below the drop down box will be populated with all the member’s (that is logged in) Non Verifiable CPD hours that have been logged iii. Select “All” option All the CPD hours that have been logged to date will be displayed. Both the Verifiable and Non Verifiable Hours will be displayed in the table below the drop down box. c. From the drop Down box under the Status indication i. Select “SAICA” option The table below the drop down box will be populated with all the member’s (that is logged in) SAICA CPD hours that have been logged ii. Select “Non-SAICA” option The table below the drop down box will be populated with all the member’s (that is logged in) Non-SAICA CPD hours that have been logged iii. Select “All” option All the CPD hours that have been logged to date will be displayed. Both the SAICA and Non-SAICA Hours will be displayed in the table below the drop down box. Click on the “Apply For Exemption/ Reduction Application” menu item b. Selected “Exemption” from the “Application Type” dropdown box c. Select the appropriate Reason from the “Reason For Application” dropdown box. d. Click on the “Next” button e. Select the appropriate Date from the calendar selector for the “From Date” field f. Select the appropriate Date from the calendar selector for the “To Date” field g. Enter the appropriate Data based on the “Reason For Application” selected h. Navigate the Apply For Exemption/ Reduction Application page by mousing over the “Exemption/ Reduction” link on the left hand side of the screen a. Click on the “Apply For Exemption/ Reduction Application” menu item b. Selected “Reduction” from the “Application Type” dropdown box c. Select the appropriate Reduction Reason from the “Reason For Application” dropdown box. d. Click on the “Next” button e. Select the appropriate Date from the calendar selector for the “Date From Which Professional Commitments Ceased or Became Limited” f. Enter the necessary Data requested in the screen based on the Reduction Reason selected in Step c g. Click on the “Save” button STEP 03 – View Exemptions and Reductions 1. Navigate the Manage Exemption/ Reduction Application page by mousing over the “Exemption/ Reduction” link on the left hand side of the screen a. Click on the “Manage Exemption/ Reduction Application” menu item b. Selected “Exemption” from the “Application Category” dropdown box c. Click on the “View” button The table displayed below the “View” and “Cancel” buttons will be populated with all the Exemptions that have been logged to date d. Select “Approved” from the “Application Status” dropdown box e. Click on the “View” button The table displayed below the “View” and “Cancel” buttons will be populated with all the Exemptions with an “Approved” status f. Select “Reduction” from the “Application Category” dropdown box g. Click on the “View” button The table below the “View” and “Cancel” buttons will be populated with all the Reductions that have been logged to date. h. Select “Approval Pending” from the “Application Status” dropdown box i. Click on the “View” button The table below the “View” and “Cancel” buttons will be populated with all the Reductions with “Approval Pending” status. CA South African Member – Exemption/ Reductions STEP 04 – Edit and/or Delete Exemptions 1. Navigate the Manage Exemption/ Reduction Application page by mousing over the “Exemption/ Reduction” link on the left hand side of the screen a. Click on the “Manage Exemption/ Reduction Application” menu item b. Selected “Exemption” from the “Application Category” dropdown box c. Click on the “View” button d. Click on the “Edit” icon (pencil) that is in line with the Exemption entry that needs to be edited e. Make the necessary changes to the fields of Data displayed f. Click on the “Save Amendments” button Note: Amendments can only be made to those Exemptions that are still in an “Approval Pending” status. STEP 05 – Edit and/or Delete Reduction 1. Navigate the Manage Exemption/ Reduction Application page by mousing over the “Exemption/ Reduction” link on the left hand side of the screen a. Click on the “Manage Exemption/ Reduction Application” menu item b. Selected “Reduction” from the “Application Category” dropdown box c. Click on the “View” button d. Click on the “Edit” icon (pencil) that is in line with the Exemption entry that needs to be edited e. Make the necessary changes to the field of Data displayed f. CA South African Member – GAA Compliance STEP 01 – New GAA Compliance 1. Navigate the GAA Application page by mousing over the “GAA” link on the left hand side of the screen a. Click on the “GAA Application” menu item b. Click the “Are You GAA Compliant” tick box c. Enter your Institution Membership number into the “Member Number” field d. Select the appropriate Country from the “Country” dropdown box e. Select the appropriate Institution from the “Institution” dropdown box f. Click on the “Save” button STEP 02 – Remove GAA Compliance 1. Navigate the GAA Application page by mousing over the “GAA” link on the left hand side of the screen a. CA South African Member – Member Self Compliance STEP 01 – Member Self Compliance 1. Navigate the CPD hour viewing page by mousing over the “CPD Hours” link on the left hand side of the screen a. Click on the “Member Self Compliance” menu item b. Click on the tick box below the “Self Compliance Policy” section and in line with the “I Agree with the above” c. Click on the “Save” button d. CA South African Member – ASA Verifiable CPD Questionnaire Content Page Content Page Content Page Content Page STEP 01 – Select a Questionnaire to Answer 1. Navigate the Free CPD page by mousing over the “Free CPD” link on the left hand side of the screen a. Click on the “Complete Questionnaire” menu item b. Select ASA from the “Please select a questionnaire Type” drop down box (at the top of the screen) c. Select the Accountancy SA Magazine issue that you would like to complete questions on from the “Please select an issue” dropdown box d. Tick any of the tick boxes in line with the topics you would like to answer questions on e. Click on the “Begin Questionnaire” button f. A declaration screen will be displayed g. Click on the “Yes” button on the declaration screen if you agree with the declaration STEP 02 – Complete Questionnaire a. Select the answer for each of the question that you feel are right b. After each question click on the “Confirm” button c. The Red circle will change from red to green after the “Confirm” button has been click to indicate that the question has been saved d. Once all the questions have been answered click on the “Submit” button right at the bottom of the page e. A summary of your test results will be displayed.

Click on the “Submit Question/Request” menu item b. Select “Question” from the “Submission Type” dropdown box c. Enter the Subject of the Question in the “Subject” field d. Enter the body of the Question in the “Details” field STEP 02 – View Previously Posed Question 1. Navigate the Question and Request page by mousing over the “Question/Request” link on the left hand side of the screen a. Click on the “View Question/Request” menu item b. Select “Question” from the “Submission Type” dropdown box c. Click on the “View” icon in line with the Question that you would like to view details of.
