Test Interface KHU, 2010/10/04TRIO-CINEMA16

UHF Antenna Pattern KHU, 2010/10/04TRIO-CINEMA17

Antenna Test 1 – Rotator operating time 1.In manual Max operation time is 5 min 2.What does it mean exactly?  Just operate 5 min  When rotator has Max torque -> 5 min 3.Test Method  Tracking continuously 3 Amateur satellite  Rotator had about 1 min interval  Total rotator operation time : 30 min 4.Test Result  It works very well. Nothing happened.  But KHU has a spare rotator. KHU, 2010/10/04TRIO-CINEMA18

Antenna Test 2 – Direction KHU, 2010/10/04TRIO-CINEMA19  Rotator moves North 0°, increments to 30°I n a clockwise direction  Check the direction when it comes Counterclockwise from the re- circulated back  Hang the thread at the end of the Antenna for checking antenna’s exactly direction

Antenna test 3 – RF Chain 1.Test Chain  Handy Transceiver – UHF Antenna – TS2000 Transceiver 2.Distance  About 900m  KHU Astronomical Observatory - KHU Front gate 3.Result  Both transceiver work well 4.Future plan  Connect Helium 100 with handy transceiver for far-field test KHU, 2010/10/04TRIO-CINEMA21

Communication Test 1.Test Chain  Helium 100 – Computer – TNC – Transceiver 2.Result (Berkeley)  TNC built in Transceiver  Using GSEOS or the other terminal program – receive data 3.Result (KHU)  TNC transmit data  Transceiver(TS-2000) transmit and receive well  Connect TNC and transceiver : can’t receive data  Problem : connect cable or setting problem with transceiver -> check problem when I come back to KOREA KHU, 2010/10/04TRIO-CINEMA22

Future plan 1.TNC – Transceiver – Helium 100 test 2.TNC – Transceiver – UHF Antenna – Handy transceiver – Helium 100 test KHU, 2010/10/04TRIO-CINEMA23
