About Myself…  From Northern Lebanon HS  Graduated B.S from Lock Haven University  Graduated M.A. from Wilkes University  Ethnic Foods, Coffee, Indie rock  Engaged to be married in November

Course Overview  Meet every other day, opposite PE.  Continuation of sixth grade Health class.  Focus is less health science, and more student centered.

Instructional Units  Wellness, Decision Making, Goal Setting  Bullying  Mental and Emotional Health  Nutrition  Exercise  Puberty  Alcohol  Tobacco  Illegal Drugs

Grades  60% Tests and Major Projects  40% Classwork and Homework  District Late Policy  10% deduction for each day late up to three days.  After three days, the assignment is a zero.  CDMS Late Policy  An accumulation of three missing homework assignments is now a Misconduct.

Major Projects  Family Tree Poster  Bullying Public Service Announcement  Restaurant Menu Launch  Interview of a Fitness Professional  “Natural High” Project

Daily Routines  Enter the classroom on time, ready for class.  Your child is to place their homework on their desk, and write tonight’s homework in their planner.  If your child was absent, they may pick up missed assignments from the folders.  If your child has late, missing, or absent work to turn in, they may place it in their class’ folder.
