SMOKING IS ADDICTING Once you start smoking you can’t stop because inside cigarettes there is nicotine and that is addicting. Nicotine makes it hard for you to stop smoking because you are addicted to it. Many people have been smoking for a very long time. In a survey of 5 th grade students, 8/25 people know others who have been smoking for more than 15 years. That’s how long some people have been smoking and that’s very long. 5/25 students know other people that have been smoking for 0-5 years, 5-10 years, and years. This shows how addicting smoking can be. Once I heard that a ten year old girl saw a movie and someone was smoking and she wanted to try it and somehow she got a pack of cigarettes. She started to smoke and she didn’t stop. When she was 25 she died because of smoking so stop smoking NOW because it will kill you.

EVOLUTION OF SMOKING Smoking has changed recently from cigarettes to electronic cigarettes. The electronic cigarette is good in a few ways. The electronic cigarette doesn’t burn out the nicotine, it also doesn’t release smoke into the atmosphere. The electronic cigarette has a battery that is rechargeable so you can re-use it. Whereas with the regular cigarettes you have to buy multiple packs to satisfy your addiction. When you smoke you are releasing harmful chemicals into the environment. When you are done smoking some people litter the cigarette butt on he floor.

THE BAD PARTS ABOUT SMOKING Write here Smoking is bad for you and it can hurt your body. According to smoking can cause cancer to the mouth, throat, bladder, kidney, lung, and the stomach. These are some of the types of cancer you can get from smoking. About 43.4 million Americans (that’s about 19.8 of the population) smokes. Every day more then 3,500 kids younger then 18 start to smoke and 1,100 of them become your daily smoker. Men are 10x more likely to die from heart attacks and strokes. if you smoke you can die in middle age.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A CIGAR AND A CIGARETTE According to a cigar takes half an hour to an hour to smoke and a cigarette can take five to ten minutes to smoke. A cigar is bigger than a cigarette. A cigar is wrapped in a leaf tobacco but the cigarette is wrapped in paper. A cigar has more tobacco and nicotine than the cigarette.

SMOKING AND ITS AFFECT ON THE ENVIRONMENT Smoking pollutes the air which means that it contributes to hurt the polar ice caps. Since it’s hurting the polar ice caps, the water will rise. If a lot of people smoke they are wasting and polluting the oxygen we have here.
