Take a piece of blank paper Write 10 questions you would like to ask me –“come from” – Where do you come from? –“married” – Are you married? –“smoke” –“kids” –“age” –… (5 more questions)

Even more about CE1 This is a big class –There are many students It is difficult to practice speaking English, in such a big class But it is important for you to learn to speak English How many teachers are there in this room? No, not 1. There are 35 teachers!

Why is it important to learn English? If you don’t learn to speak English:  You will not graduate from Zheng Da  You will not get a good job in the Taiwan of the future

So, some information about me I first came to Taiwan in 1991 I have been married to a Taiwanese woman, Emily, for 14 years We have two boys, Owen (9) and Iain (4) I went back to England to do my PhD, then I worked at Academia Sinica ( 中研院 ) for a year. I taught English and Linguistics at Ming Chuan University for 4 years. This is my first year at Zheng Da.
