 Fly tipping is an anti-social and dangerous problem and costs council tax payers thousands of pounds every year to clear away. It is unsightly and pollutes our environment.  We treat this problem very seriously and we always investigate every case of fly-tipped waste. If we can obtain sufficient evidence we will always prosecute anyone who fly-tips within the County Borough.  Dumping household, industrial and commercial waste illegally is a serious criminal offence that carries a fine of up to £50,000. When found guilty offenders can even be sent to prison.

 Their collections will soon change from a weekly service to an alternate weekly collection. We are offering a wheeled bin for you to store your non recyclable materials. The standard size bin is 240 litres in size and we also have a limited supply of smaller and larger bins.

 Many people believe that they can only put garden waste into a home composting bin, but this is only one of a number of household items that could be added to create enriched compost that can be used in your garden.

 Statistics in January have shown that Wales recycled more than 40% of its waste between July and September  This represents a 3.5% increase on the same period in the previous year, when just 37.6% of waste was recycled.  The total amount of municipal waste produced in Wales during the same period has decreased, falling from 438,590 to 432,571 tonnes.
