What comes to mind when you think of Kisumu?

Problem Statement Environmental pollution Poor waste management Deforestation High cost of boats Poor quality and limited lifetime of boats Few jobs or earning opportunities

In addition, unsafe/leaking boats has negatively affected many sectors such as fishing, tourism and water sports How can we facilitate environmental health, ecotourism, recreational and competitive water sports?

SOLUTION REINCARNATED PLASTIC BOATS,OARS,PADDLES & LIFE JACKETS

Customers Ordered by expected size of opportunity: Fishing operators Eco-tourism Hotels & resorts Private tourists Water sports clubs and schools

Business Model Raw Materials Sourcing Recycled plastics paid per KG Individual and commercial customers Sales & Service Sell directly to end user Maintenance services available

Size of Opportunity 60 beaches in Kisumu County 70 boats per beach, at a lifecycle of ~5 years 4200 boats in Kisumu County ~840 boats replaced annually At 10% market share, we would be manufacturing 84 boats per year at an expected total revenue of KSH4 million – KSH 10 million* *Based on market research conducted in Kisumu County, 2015, assuming current boat prices of KSH45k – KSH120k

Why invest in this? Eco-nomical: Addressing needs of fishermen at an improved cost structure Eco-friendly: It consumes waste and slows deforestation Eco-nnected: By providing incentives for individuals and businesses to recycle, we will be catalyzing a community effort to clean up Kisumu

THANK YOU Thank you
