Lesson No: 11 Working with Formula, Function, Chart & Excel Tools CHBT-01 Basic Micro process & Computer Operation

In MS-Excel All Formulas and Functions start with = sign compulsory Formula : Formula contains only cell address and mathematical operator e.g. Suppose we want to add cell value of C7 and F8 than the formula would be =C7+F8 returns sum of cell value C7 and F8 Function : In MS – Excel all functions are predefined tool. If we want to any calculation by using of function we type first and last cell address (for range) in each function Working with Formula, Function,Chart & Excel Tools

Excel Function 1. Sum() : It is used to sum in the value of given cell range = sum(B5 : B10) 2. Average() : It is used to calculate the average value of given cell range 3. Count() : It is used to count the no. of value of given cell range 4. Maximum() : It is used to find the maximum value from given cell range. 5. Minimum() : It is used to find the minimum value from given cell range. Working with Formula, Function,Chart & Excel Tools

6. Power() : It is used to find the power value of given no. =power(5,3) returns the value ABS() it returns only positive value of given negative value. =Abs(-5) returns 5. 8 Int () it returns the Integer value of given value =Int(5.6) returns 5. 9 IF (logical test, value_if_true, value _if_false) =if(b5>=35,”PASS”,”FAIL”) it returns pass If the value of b5 is greater than or equal to 35 then PASS, otherwise FAIL Working with Formula, Function,Chart & Excel Tools

Introduction to Excel 2000

Creating A chart in Worksheet -Select data from your worksheer for chart. -Click on Inset  Chart. Then you will see 4 step chart wizard Working with Formula, Function,Chart & Excel Tools

-In first step select type of chart and click on Next Button In second step edit data range for chart and click on next. In third step give the title of chart, x-axis and y-axis then click on next In fourth step select place where you want to insert the chart

Working with Formula, Function,Chart & Excel Tools Goal seek Goal seek option is very useful for finding a specific target value for given number. Sort To sort selected data in Ascending or Descending order on given columns from worksheet.

Working with Formula, Function,Chart & Excel Tools Filter Filter command is used to analyze selected data from worksheet.
