The March Bracelet

1.One thing March has to offer is the wearing of the “March bracelet” March is considered the first month of spring and brings lots of sunshine,nice,h ot sunshine.

2. To protect themselves from being burnt by this hot sun,people,especially children wear the “March bracelet”. Red and white yarn is woven together to create a small bracelet,which is worn from the first of March. (The white symbolizing purity and the red life and passion.)

3. It has to be worn until you see the first swallow returning from the south or the first blossoming tree. So at the end of March the bracelet is removed and hung on a fruit tree to keep it healthy and to make sure of a good harvest of fruit. Swallows use the yarn from the trees to build their nests
