Losing weight

When it comes to losing weight, there is always a little statement that I go by personally: You have to burn more calories than you eat. However, this may not be the key solution for you to lose weight…

For some people losing weight is a struggle. Some people spend hours on end googling diets and exercise routines and the following week starting it all up, only to find that all of their hard work has come to a stand still, due to the fact that their diet or weight lose strategy is not working!!! Don’t we all just find this irritating!!!

One of the diets which I think people should avoid is the… Calorie counting diet!!! This diet, in my opinion, only gets people worried about their weight and the fact that they’re not losing any. Also, it gives people the idea that losing weight is very difficult, which is not, and causing them to become very “not bothered” about their weight loss.

But enough about what you shouldn’t do! Let’s focus on how you’re going to start your weight loss plan!!!

Although earlier on, I said that counting your calories has a worrying effect, my method actually doesn’t use such worry in the process. This may include some calories counting at the beginning however it’s not all calorie counting!!!

First of all, I recommend an hour of exercise a week. This, of course, is just a minimum, I want to see you doing 2, 3, 4 hours of exercise a week!!!

Now, onto the food!!! In this sort of plan, I want to say so desperately that you can eat all you want, but you and I both know that that is not the way we’re going to lose weight, are we? So, just as a heads up, I suggest that your daily intake of calories stays within the limit of whether you’re male or female. Your breakfast should just be either toast or a medium bowl of good cereal (doesn’t necessarily have to Weetabix or stuff like that) it just has to be sensible!

Your lunch can be anything you want (well…. Not exactly, now that I think about it…) Your lunch can be something like a sandwich (NO NUTELLA!!!) or can be some potatoes, or eggs with slices of toast. But remember not to go mad!!! (KEEP IN MIND YOUR DAILY LIMIT OF CALORIE INTAKE)!!!

Your dinner can be a variety of things. It can range from pasta to soups and then back round from soups to lasagne... However, I am urging you not to go completely calorie crazy!!!

Now, here is where the whole diet is based on for me. Throughout the week, when you have been eating your meals according to my guidelines, AND completing your 1 hour minimum exercise, I sure do hope that you are not nibbling on biscuits and crisps for snacks! For me, I try to avoid snacks altogether because once I have something for a snack I then start feeling as if I really need a packet of walkers cheese and onion!

So if you’re sitting there wondering what 1 hour exercise you’re going to do, or what breakfast your going to switch to, I have generously written out my plan to help give you an idea of what I mean my not going calorie crazy!!!

Food Breakfast: bowl of Cheerios with milk (blue capped milk) Lunch: a sandwich (white bread, with cheese and jalapenos) Dinner: this changes everyday but some of the stuff I have is like: mince lasagne, shepherds pie, chicken curry… Exercise: I do netball for an hour I do basketball for an hour I go to the gym for an hour on Tuesday and Wednesday each

I really do hope that this has helped you at least to have an idea of what you’re going to do to help you lose weight! I hope you really believe in yourself throughout the weeks and you know what, don’t be dis-heartened if you don’t see major results straight away. This is a very gentle diet, depending on your choices and whether you really, really, really try and take on board my advice and examples, and this diet may start to show results after maybe 2-3 weeks. And you know what, once you’ve tried this out, please enlighten me with how it went and how you feel and the foods you chose which helped you to lose weight!
