Annual Review of Solution Providers for IPC 1752A Purpose – Recognition by IPC as a verified solution provider for IPC 1752A – Ensure that software tools are compliant to the latest released standard, schema and IPC lists of Substance Categories and Exemptions – Ensure that solution providers keep their systems up-to-date This annual review is not a certification of tools. Solution providers are invited to submit Class A, Class C and/or Class D XML files for the 2015 data sets to IPC by April 1 3

Solution Provider’s XML files are anonymous to the Review Committee IPC ensures that solution providers XML files are kept anonymous by allocating a unique identification to each solution providers set of XML files. All solution providers are asked to use the following file naming convention for their XML files DataSet1ClassA.xml, DataSet1ClassC.xml, DataSet1ClassD.xml, DataSet2ClassA.xml, DataSet2ClassC.xml, DataSet2ClassD.xml IPC allocates a unique identification to each solution providers set of XML files before distribution to the review committee. For example: Sol1DataSet1ClassA.xml, Sol1DataSet1ClassC.xml, Sol2DataSet1ClassA.xml, Sol2DataSet1ClassC.xml 7

Draft results from 2015 review process Solution providerApproved declaration classes AnthesisA, C and D BOMcheckC and D Dassault SystemesA, C and D GreensoftA, C and D PLM LogixA, C and D PTCA and C SAPC Silicon ExpertA and D Total Parts PlusA, C and D 8

Scope of 2015 review The XML files provided can validate against the current schema Current IPC lists of Substance Categories and Exemptions are being used The data in the data sets are reported correctly in the XML files. In particular, Class A XML files must include the correct statements for the data sets and Class C and Class D XML files must correctly report the substance masses and concentrations provided in the data sets All fields which are required in the Standard must be provided in the XMLs, in addition to the fields which are required in the Schema 9

Additional elements to evaluate in 2016 review and how can we improve the review process? The scope of the 2015 review should be carried forward into the 2016 review What additional elements should be added to the scope of the 2016? How can we improve the review process for the 2016 review? – Publish links to lists on main IPC 1752A webpage – “spell checker” tool to compare IPC lists against lists reported in solution providers XML files (could also be published on IPC 1752A webpage) 10

Update on IEC

IEC – Maintenance Team The IEC standard has moved from a working group (WG) to a maintenance team (MT). – The new co-chairs are Mark Frimann and Rick East – The focus of the MT is to increase adoption and make necessary changes for the standard to be more usable by industry… it has not changed since its release in 2011 – Part of the task is to increase convergence of IPC 1752A and IEC This is an ongoing combined effort between IPC 1752A committee and MT to identify all differences and provide suggested changes Volunteers? 12
