My Finances  I am a Technical Director at a Special Event Venue (ex: Pepsi Center, DCPA, Red Rocks, Etc)  Requires a BA or MA in Theatre Tech and Design  It is a slowing but steady job market  Salary  Annual - $69,  Monthly - $5,  Hourly - $33.40

My Finances Cont.  I chose this career because I have a passion for live theatre and events. I enjoy how much I have to think on my feet and the fast paced environment.  3 facts I did not know about my career:  I must have a teaching license if I want to educate other crew members on a professional level  I can continue to become a Production Manager  I can perform this job as a student on some college campuses

My Family  I have 1 son named Hunter who is 14 years old  My wife is Paige who works full time as a Lawyer  We have 2 dogs, Bo (Golden Retriever) and Tucker (Black Lab)  Paige is full time due to the high-end clients needs and the demands of the job

Transportation  2012 Chevy Silverado 2500 LTZ  Black with Black Leather Interior  4 Wheel Drive, Towing, GPS/Bluetooth/Superior Sound  I chose this car because it is big and can be used for countless jobs and daily tasks

Wife’s Car  2007 Chevy Tahoe LT  Black with Tan Interior  3 rd row seats, towing, and Bluetooth  We purchased this because it is good for hauling kids, dogs and family supplies.

Breckenridge, CO

 Breckenridge, CO is well know for its great family activities such as  Skiing  Boating  Shopping  Fine Dining  Lots of Festivals and events weekly

Breckenridge, CO  Total for family of 3 for 4 nights at a prime resort including all food and shopping expenses  $1,  We chose this location because it makes for a nice easy get away from the cities, it allows us to be away but not have the hassle of flying and packing extensively.

Family Entertainment  We chose to use our money to enjoy events like:  Fine Dining in Downtown Denver  Avalanche, Broncos and Rockies Games  Skiing most weekends out of the winter months  Funding for Hunter to play baseball and hockey

Charitable Donations  We chose to donate to disaster fund reliefs like the Red Cross and donate funds to support volunteer fire and search and rescue teams around the state.  We chose to donate to them because those are always jobs that are thankless and you can always depend on their help.

Savings  We chose to set aside an amount monthly for Hunter’s College and car funding. And a bit set aside to purchase a cabin somewhere like Breckenridge.

Analysis of My Life  My 3 decisions were:  I chose a job that I love, however my income was limited  My wife had to work fulltime to fulfill her job and to help cover the child care costs  I had to get a few model years older on my truck in order to have a savings fund for my son  I learned that money defiantly does not grow on trees and that you can’t get everything you want on an average salary.

Analysis/Advice  I would tell anyone taking this class that make sure you think responsibly but still leave room for fun.  And to always remember this is just a game so have fun with it!
