Speech Every speech has 3 main aspects: 1. Purpose 2. Content 3. Delivery

Purpose Your general purpose is to: Inform Persuade Entertain Inspire

Purpose Your specific purpose- your message. Be able to write your message in one sentence. Example: I will explain the basic elements of a good speech. Your desired audience outcome. Determine what you want your audience to think, feel, or do.

Write out your speech word for word. Content Content includes: Organization- Introduction/Body/Conclusion Support material- Stories, facts, examples, and memorable images Language use- Good speeches start with good writing! Write out your speech word for word.

Delivery Delivery includes: Eye contact- talk to people not paper Gestures Body language Appearance Vocal variety Props Enthusiasm
