VALMAP- Valleys Mapping Project Developed By Dr. Michael Prentice at the University of New Hampshire 2001 version uses the Arc Coverage Data model with an external Microsoft Access database New version uses a relational Geodatabase data model for storage of both spatial and tabular data Goal: Combining VALMAP with Oracle database

Merging Oracle Database with VALMAP Database/VALMAP to reside at INSTAAR-done UNH to provide support & VALMAP development-done (all files have been shared) Implement ArcSDE (Spatial Database Engine)- done –Allow storage of spatial data in Oracle –Interact dynamically with data tables without removing them from the database Implement ArcIMS (Internet Map Server) –Allows direct internet spatial queries via ArcSDE- major stages completed, final web design in process
